Details and limits

Solidtime is a local MCP server for a Solidtime instance you already run, self-hosted or your own cloud account. The package name is solidtime-mcp. You run it over stdio or stateless Streamable HTTP on localhost. It does not start Solidtime for you.

There is no hosted service in this listing. Bring your own API token. Create a personal API token in Solidtime under Profile settings, Create API Token. Set SOLIDTIME_URL to the instance origin and SOLIDTIME_API_TOKEN to the token. SOLIDTIME_ORGANIZATION_ID is optional and is auto-detected when the user has exactly one membership. The connector sends the token as Authorization: Bearer and never prints it. A trailing /api on SOLIDTIME_URL is stripped. Cloud accounts use https://app.solidtime.io.

Read-only by default. Writes are confirm-gated. A write is a dry-run preview when confirm is omitted. confirm must be the boolean true. When confirm:true and SOLIDTIME_ALLOW_WRITES is not the literal true, the tool returns the preview, sets blocked to true, and does not call the instance.

The connector covers the public REST API v1: all 81 operations plus the extra client routes (99 operations, 53 tools). Week copy and timesheet bulk entry are not on the public REST API, so they are not tools. Project and task estimates use estimated_time in seconds. Invoices and estimates need a plan that has them and are reported as unavailable otherwise.

member_id is the membership id from solidtime_memberships, not the user id. billable_rate is cents per hour. Changing it can reprice existing time entries.

The local limit defaults to 200 requests a minute. A cache hit does not spend that window.

Solidtime is AGPL-3.0. The connector is MIT and only calls the public REST API.
